These are all of the beds that I have slept in within the past year. There are fifteen of them total, fifteen beds that served as my own. They repeat, some much more than others, in order of when I slept in them. My parents are divorced and I tend to move a lot, some places I don't have a bed of my own, so I sleep on the couch or an air mattress or someone else's bed. But for that one night, that bed was mine. And although I have had so many, they still just don't feel like my own, never fully. They will never be mine, never fully. They will always be strangers to me.
