During the summer of 2018, I was part of a mail art project in which one of my professors and I created artwork in response to each other's. We would mail our projects to each other and take turns responding to what was sent. I created this safe space full of secrecy and life, something I felt like I didn't have at that time. I wanted a safe space to go to, or at least to pretend to go to, and one that I could take with me anywhere.
